Why Oh Why

Why oh why do I have this fear? I haven't been out in a long time.

The Lord wants us to seek and save that which is lost. I know what I am suposed to do. But doing it is a different story.

I feel for those who are on there way to Hell and do not know it. I also am extremely saddened for those who are going to Hell on there own choice of not believing in the gracious Saviour Jesus Christ.

Whenever i go to hand out a tract I freeze. I have fought through the fear but it is so hard. I pray before I go and I ask the Lord to give me His strength. For When I am weak then I am strong.

I have been told that this is a sense of pride. It is a pride issue caused by wanting people to like me and not to reject me. But I know that they will hate me cause they first hated Him.

I also know that I am as much a wretch as those I am wanting to share Jesus with. I am no better then anyone. I am just better off.

My tongue also freezes and even when I manage to accually break that fear and accualy witness to a person. I stutter and my mind goes completely blank.

I'm supposed to be motivated by love and I thought I was. But I read that perfect love casts out all fear.

I pray for the strength and the time to go witnessing to the Lost world.

If you have the same problems please send a comment maybe we can encourage each other.

Just a Thought.

Its been a while since I have posted anything. I have been witnessinga couple times since my last post. I have went with my two middle children one time each. Both times was fun cause we watched people attack us for tracks and pass out a hundred tracks in 20 minutes. But the last time I went i went with my youngest daughter. She was able to see that there are people that are in a lot worse condition then she has noticed before. This was her first encounter with a person that was a drug addict and a drunk. It was sad and she didn't say much but you could tell she was thinking. Also this was her only encounter with a homeless person. She seemed really concerned for this poor lady that couldn't help herself.
We were able to present the Gospel to both people the drug addict's name was Anthony and the homeless lady was named Patricia. I hope someone can pray for these two people that listened and reason out the Gospel. Neither person was very interested in repenting from there sins that day but they did realize that if they were to die that they were heading to Hell. It was there concern for Hell that I shared the Gospel otherwise I would not have.
As the Good Lord says not to toss your pearls before the swine (Matthew 7) Keep up the courage and seek the Lord God. He will give you someone to witness too. He doesn't want any to go to Hell He died so All may be saved. (John 3:16) If you find yourself scared stiff to witness to someone put a Gospel Tract in the envelope you are sending out. Everyone needs to hear the good news before time runs out and we are all standing before the Lord. Remember when we go to Heaven we will never be able to say I wish I told less people about Jesus. But we will all be able to say I wish I had spoken to more people. It is as Mark Cahill wrote There is only one thing you can do now that you can not do in Heaven and that is tell others about Jesus and the Cross.

Sometimes its Easy

The other day I brought my wife to the grocery store so she could get the groceries. While she was shopping I went over to the grocery stores gas station. Once I put my pump into the gas tank I handed the man on the other side of the pump a million dollar bill Gospel tract. He said Hey thanks a lot its pretty cool. I simply told him please read the other side it has the million dollar question on it. As he started to read it I noticed that he read only about half and gave it to his girlfriend. =( However as I was finishing up I noticed that he got back into his car and reread it with his girlfriend. Would you believe that the person behind him beeped at them to move? So He started his car and drove forward 20 feet and reparked. Then he got out of his car and came over to me and tried to hand the million dollar bill back and said Hey Thank You very much. I said no problem you may keep that I have plenty. May God bless you. This was interesting because I didn't have to witness but I felt as if God did His work through the tract.
Remember We see Gods strength in us when we are weak. We can do ALL thing through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. When we are weak then we are strong. I hope that this little post will inspire you to simply hand out a tract if you are afraid to witness to someone. May God Bless you all and give you strength to share Him with others.
Ponder this. If you were to get $1000.00 for every person you handed a Gospel tract how many would you pass out? If you said more then one why would you not do that for the Glory of God and the rewards you'll recieve in Heaven?

Witnessing to a Muslim

This was a tough witnessing encounter. For me it was tough because this gentleman truely knew and believed his religion. I handed him a million dollar bill tract and asked him if he knew the million dollar question. He said no what is it? I asked him "If you were to die tonight would you go to heaven or hell?" His response was truely disturbing to me. He said He didn't know. I asked him if he thought he was a good person and he did. It turns out that he was a lying blashemous adultarer at heart. He knew he was guilt and should be going to hell but he truely believed his god would forgive him because aof the good things he was doing in life. I tried to reason with his intellect a little by using a human court analogy. He continued to insist that his god was bigger and better and more forgiving then a human judge and as long as he did good here on earth he would be ok. We talked about how quran says that you must be perfect to enter heaven and we know that he missed that mark based upon his own admission. We also talked about the 5 pillars of his faith which surprised him that i knew anything about his religion and how it worked. And he admitted that he hasn't kept all of those either. He still refused to listen to reason that a good judge couldn't allow bad people into heaven. By this time i started to get frustrated because I do not like to argue or get into long conversations. So I asked him if I could explain something to him and he could get back to me with his thoughts and he agreed. I shared Jesus dying on the cross repentance and faith for the forgiveness of sin. Though I knew he wasn't ready for theGospel I had to share the good news with him hoping that God would allow the seed to plant. This moved the conversation to where he only believed Jesus to be a prophet and a man not God or a Savior. I asked him this Question. " Is a liar able to be a prophet in your religion?" He said no. I said Well your prophet Jesus said "I am the Way The truth and the life no man comes unto the father but by me." So either He was lying and not a prophet or he said the truth which is it? He said Well we do not know for sure if that is what Jesus said or whether it was just something someone wrote down. I tried to share with him how Jesus can be believed because people do not die for a lie but only in what they know to be true. Anyways left on great terms with each other and My friend and I are sending Muhammed a book by Josh Mcdowell "More then a carpenter". I hope the man reads the book and comes to know the Lord.
We serve a great a Holy God willing to give us learning oppurtunites and witnessing encounters that require us to rely upon Him. May the world rest uopn the saving grace of the Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

My First Athiest Encounter

Well last night when i was witnessing with a friend. I ran across my first Athiest.

The conversation started basically as all other encounter. Here is the basic conversation Its not word for word.

Me: Hi How are you?.. Did you get one of these?( million dollar bill tract)
Athiest: What is it? Can I turn it in? HEHEHE
Me: Sorry dude its a gospel tract. Do you know what the million dollar question is?
Athiest: No what is it?
Me: If you were to die tonight would you go to Heaven or Hell?
Athiest: Up to the Clouds.
Me: Why do you think that?
Athiest: I'm a good person I live a good life.
Me: Thats good but by who's standard?
Athiest: I do not know.
Me: Well can I ask you a few questions to see just how good of a person you are?
Athiest: Sure I have nothing to lose.
Me: How many lies do you think you have told?
Athiest: I do not know ....... A lot
Me: What does that make you?
Athiest: A bad person.
Me: No Specifically... I mean what would you call me if I told a lie to you?
Athiest: A Liar.
Me: How many things have you stolen in life?
Athiest: None.
Me: Really? You've never downloaded music off the internet?
Athiest: yeah I guess I have.
Me: What would that make you?
Athiest: A stealer or thief.
Me: How many time tonight here in the mall do you think you have looked at a woman with a sexual thought? Because Jesus Christ said You have heard it said of old you shall not commit adultary but I say if you just look at a woman with lust you have committed adultary with her already in your heart.
Athiest:(sarcastically) 133 times.
Me: I'm not judging you by your own admission you are a lying thieving adultarer at heart. If you were to die tonight would you be innocent or guilty?
Athiest: I'd be guilty
Me: would you therefore go to heaven or hell?
Athiest: It depends on who is making that decsion I think I'm going to Heaven.
Me: God is the judge. Would He send you to heaven or hell?
Athiest: I'd go to Heaven because I do not believe in God?
Me: Really? I think God is provable.
Athiest: Go ahead.
Me: Well.....You see this cell phone here?(Me pointing to the phone display at his booth)Who made that phone?
Athiest: The Phone maker.
Me: So there was a intelligent being that made that phone that you didn't see or talk to?
Athiest: Yes
Me: So who do you think made the trees and flowers and the rest of creation?
Athiest: We evolved from nothing.
Me: So what did we evolve from?
Athiest: We evolved from monkeys.
Me: Ok where did the monkeys evolve from?
Athiest: The Big Bang.
Me: Where did the stuff come from for the big bang to go boom?
Athiest: I don't know it was just there.
Me: Well would it be correct to say that God made that stuff?
Athiest: No Who made your God?
Me: No One made God He always was. Everything comes back to something can not come from nothing.
Athiest: You are telling me your God came from nothing.
Me: No I'm saying He always was.
Athiest: So where did He come from?
Me: He exsists outside of the realm of time and space because He created it. Its like This the entire universe was created by Him. You can not measure the universe and if you could you would want to know whats on the other side of the end. Well God knows all that because He Made it.
Athiest: It was always there and just evolved. If everything has a creator who created your god?
Me: What evolved first your heart, the blood or the blood vessels in the monkey since you said we evolved from Monkeys?
Athiest: It all started from one cell.
Me: How do you know.
Athiest: I just believe that.
Me: Would you go to heaven or hell?
Athiest: there is no place.
Me:Well in my little fantasy world would you go to Heaven or Hell?
Athiest: Heaven I'm a good person.
Me: But you are a liar and thief and adulterer.
Athiest: I'm a good person.
Me: Well thanks but I have to go now it was a pleasure talking to you.

Wierd how people can believe in anything as long as its not the BIBLE or GOD. I could tell by this persons answers that I was not going to share the Gospel with him so I just ended it with him thinking about Heaven or Hell. I left him in the hands of the living God.

My First Blog Attempt

Witnessing is the hardest thing I have ever done. But we are commanded by Jesus Christ to seek and to save that which is lost. I have noticed that our society claims there own goodness and yet turn out to be self admitted liars, thieves, blasphemous, adulters at heart. Most will also think that they deserve heaven even when confronted with these things.

Why do people think that a HOLY, JUST, and Good God would just grant them access to Heaven. Granted we all WANT to go to heaven but none of us truely deserve to go. Its only when we realize that we are guilty before that HOLY just God that we realize we deserve Hell.

Then when we here how Jesus Christ paid our penalty to this Holy and Just God on our behalf.Jesus lived a PERFECT life. Not a single lie or even a moment of UNJUST anger no sin whatsoever. Jesus died on the cross and shed His precious innocent blood. He literally took the wrath of God that was due to you, for the sins you committed in order to uphold the justice of God.

In order for you to enter Heaven there are two things you must do.

1. REPENT of your sins. Which means to turn from your sinful ways. No more lying stealing etc agreeing with God that these things are wrong.

2. You must Trust in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation. Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but by me." Jesus is the only way to heaven. Our good works are like filthy rags to God.
Thinking you can earn your way to Heaven through good works is like giving a civil judge and money bribe. Its insulting and could add to your judgment.
Please humble yourself and trust in the Savior. Move that trust that you were putting into your works to get into Heaven into Jesus Christ and and you shall be saved.

Remember that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not persish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
