Witnessing to a Muslim

This was a tough witnessing encounter. For me it was tough because this gentleman truely knew and believed his religion. I handed him a million dollar bill tract and asked him if he knew the million dollar question. He said no what is it? I asked him "If you were to die tonight would you go to heaven or hell?" His response was truely disturbing to me. He said He didn't know. I asked him if he thought he was a good person and he did. It turns out that he was a lying blashemous adultarer at heart. He knew he was guilt and should be going to hell but he truely believed his god would forgive him because aof the good things he was doing in life. I tried to reason with his intellect a little by using a human court analogy. He continued to insist that his god was bigger and better and more forgiving then a human judge and as long as he did good here on earth he would be ok. We talked about how quran says that you must be perfect to enter heaven and we know that he missed that mark based upon his own admission. We also talked about the 5 pillars of his faith which surprised him that i knew anything about his religion and how it worked. And he admitted that he hasn't kept all of those either. He still refused to listen to reason that a good judge couldn't allow bad people into heaven. By this time i started to get frustrated because I do not like to argue or get into long conversations. So I asked him if I could explain something to him and he could get back to me with his thoughts and he agreed. I shared Jesus dying on the cross repentance and faith for the forgiveness of sin. Though I knew he wasn't ready for theGospel I had to share the good news with him hoping that God would allow the seed to plant. This moved the conversation to where he only believed Jesus to be a prophet and a man not God or a Savior. I asked him this Question. " Is a liar able to be a prophet in your religion?" He said no. I said Well your prophet Jesus said "I am the Way The truth and the life no man comes unto the father but by me." So either He was lying and not a prophet or he said the truth which is it? He said Well we do not know for sure if that is what Jesus said or whether it was just something someone wrote down. I tried to share with him how Jesus can be believed because people do not die for a lie but only in what they know to be true. Anyways left on great terms with each other and My friend and I are sending Muhammed a book by Josh Mcdowell "More then a carpenter". I hope the man reads the book and comes to know the Lord.
We serve a great a Holy God willing to give us learning oppurtunites and witnessing encounters that require us to rely upon Him. May the world rest uopn the saving grace of the Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
